Fortnite creator Jason Rubin has admitted that the popular shooter has already reached its $50 million budget.

“We are close to $55 million,” he said at an investor conference in New York.

“It’s in the tens of millions.

We have a lot of work ahead of us.”

Last year’s hit game Fortnites earned $15.8 million in sales, according to ComScore data.

In January, Microsoft bought the rights to the Fortnited franchise for $2.4 billion, and it has sold more than 100 million copies worldwide.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Rubin said that the game’s budget is being “raised to make it as compelling as possible”.

“We have a very tight budget, and that’s where we are going to focus,” he added.

“Our focus is on delivering the best content for our community.

That’s really the key.”

The game was first released in 2013, and was developed by Epic Games, a studio that also includes the Gears of War franchise.

In a video interview with IGN, Rubin confirmed that the FortNite team is still looking for a studio to work on its next game, but he said he expected to announce that soon.

“There’s a very strong interest, but I would not say that we’ve had a firm timeline,” he told IGN.

“I think it’s a real good question for the team right now.

There’s a lot to do, but we’ll get there.”

The Fortnition franchise has been in development for a number of years, but Rubin told the WSJ that it was the game that made him want to become a game developer.

“My first real big game job was as a designer for Epic Games.

That was my first big game career,” he explained.”

Fortnites really changed my life.”

He added: “I had a really cool time.

It’s the only game I really really wanted to work with, and I was like, ‘Oh, this is what I want to do’.”
